SnapBudget ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What We Collect
Account info: Name and email address when you register.
Receipt data: Store names, item names, prices, and totals from receipts you scan or enter manually.
Usage data: Number of scans used per month (for plan limits only).
Receipt images: Photos are sent to our AI service for processing and are not stored on our servers. Images are discarded immediately after analysis.
What We Don't Collect
We do not collect payment card information (handled by Apple/Stripe).
We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.
We do not track your location.
We do not run ads inside the app on Pro/King plans.
How We Use Your Data
To provide and improve the SnapBudget service.
To process receipt images through AI (Google Gemini via OpenRouter).
To enforce free plan scan limits.
To send you important account updates (no marketing without consent).
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (D1 database), protected by industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations and are never stored in plaintext.
Third-Party Services
OpenRouter / Google Gemini: Used to analyze receipt images. Images are not retained by these services beyond the API call.
Cloudflare: Hosts our API and database.
Apple: Handles in-app purchases and TestFlight distribution.
Your Rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@snapbudget.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
SnapBudget is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We'll notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
